Israel's Netanyahu failed to form a government after winning razor thin. Plus he is now facing corruption charges. Today his wife came to a settlement against other charges.

The president has called for new election. That will be a back to back election. And most likely Netanyahu won't be here. Who ever leads Israel next should be more ruthless than the current one. That's the sign of the time. We need to wait to see what happen.

Can't stop thinking about Salman-Al-Udha. The saudi dissident that's about to be executed within a month. But he was non-violent. And believed in telling the right thing to the government.

Now standing in his shoes, what would I be thinking right now? That I did the right thing? That the truth needs to be told? Even if I have to give up my life for that?

But isn't it me justifying my actions after the misery, as I can't go back and think twice?

There in lies a big difference between Democracy and Monarchy. Democracy gives you the right to say things. And it won't prosecute you for doing that. But that right is specifically given ONLY by democracy. And don't assume it's some form of birth right that every type of government system automatically should give you. It won't. And you will be prosecuted for breaking the law. As what's happening now.

Now you don't need to "love" democracy. But do realize the difference, and don't try to make a crossover. Don't try to apply democratic values over to a monarchy.

The same applies to BD too. The more educated you are, that more likely that you are jobless. A handy-man worker will earn at least 12k/month. But highly educated people can't do that. They rather opt for computer operator job at 8k/month, at 50% lower.

At least in BD, the less educated you are, the more likely you are to earn a living for your family.

Technical hands lags greatly in number in BD. And we have an over abundance of commerce grads, 90% of the educated population. That has almost no work to do.

Therefore Arabnews now is more about what the king wishes to happen, rather than what actually happened.

I am getting the idea from Arab News that the new coalition will not include, or doesn't want to include, Turkey and Qatar in it. Therefore start counting these two states on the other side. Which side PK takes finally is still a question. But my guess it will remain with KSA.

فضل اخر ليلة من رمضان

أولاً: المغفرة في آخر ليلة من رمضان

حدثنا رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم عن فضل هذه الليلة، وأعطى خمس خصال لهذا الشهر الكريم، حيث قال عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال قال رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم ( أعطيت أمتي في رمضان خمس خصال لم يعطهن أمة كانت قبلهم، خلوف فم الصائم أطيب عند الله من رائحة المسك، وتستغفر لهم الملائكة حتي يفطروا، وتصفد مودة الشياطين فلا يصلون فيه إلي ما كانوا يصلون إليه، ويزين الله جنته في كل يوم فيقول: يوشك عبادي الصالحون أن يلقوا عنهم المؤنة ويعيروا إليك، ويغفر لهم في أخر ليلة من رمضان، فقالوا: يا رسول الله هي ليلة القدر، قال: لا، ولكن العامل إنما يوفي أجره عند انقضاء عمله). وهذا يعني إذا قام الإنسان بما عليه من التزامات وواجبات تجاه هذا الشهر علي أكمل وجه، فإن الله يعطيه أجره كاملاً وهو أن يغفر له في آخر ليلة في رمضان، سواء كانت توافق ليلة القدر أو لا، لأن الله غفور رحيم.

ثانيا العتق من النار في آخر ليلة في رمضان

وفي حديث آخر ذكر رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم عن العتق من النار في هذه الليلة، حيث قال (يعتق الله عز وجل في كل ليلة من ليالي رمضان ستمائة ألف، فإذا كان في آخر ليلة أعتق من النار بعددهم جميعاً)، أي أن الله يغفر كل يوم في رمضان إذا كان أوله أو آخره وهذا يعني أن المسلم له فرص كثيرة حتي آخر ليلة، لأن الله أوضح أنه يعتق في آخر ليلة بعدد من اعتقهم خلال شهر رمضان كله بل وأكثر من عددهم . لإنها تكون آخر فرصة للإنسان لاغتنام مغفرة الله ورضاه.

ثالثا أخر ساعة في رمضان

تضاربت الأقاويل عن آخر ساعه في شهر رمضان، وهي الساعة ما بين صلاة العصر وقبل صلاة المغرب، حيث يقال أن الله يعتق في هذه الساعة بقدر ما أعتق في شهر رمضان كله، وأنها ساعة استجابة حيث يستجاب فيها الدعاء ولا يرد، لكن هناك آراء لبعض الشيوخ وهي عن الأحاديث التي تتكلم عن آخر ساعة في رمضان، أنها لم ترد في السنة النبوية، وأن الله يعتق في آخر ليلة وليس في آخر ساعة في هذا الشهر الكريم.

يقال أن رجل قتل تسعة وتسعون شخص، فسأل التوبة، فذهب إلى رجل ليس عالماً وسأله، فقال له كيف تتوب وانت قتلت تسعاً وتسعون نفساً، فقتله وأكمل المائة، فأنبه ضميره للمره الثانية، وسأل التوبة، فذهب إلى عالم وسأله، فقال له باب التوبة مفتوح، وأضاف أن يذهب إلى قرية يوجد بها أُناس يعبدون الله، فقبض الله روحه، وهو ذاهب فحاول أن يصل للقرية قبل أن يموت، فمات قبل أن يصل، فأتت الملائكة وقاسوا المسافة بينه وبين القريتين، واتضح أنه اقرب للقرية الصالحة فأدخله الله الجنة، فاغتنم أيها المسلم هذه الليلة من رمضان لربما تكون الفرصة الأخيرة حتي يغفر الله لك، وربما تكون هي سبب عتقك من النار، والنجاة بحياتك من العذاب، لأن شهر رمضان هو شهر الرحمة والمغفرة والعتق من النار.

এই ধরনের ঘটনা খুবই কমন। এগুলো জেনেই আমরা চাদ দেখার প্রেডিকট করি। যার সাথে "দেখার" যত না সম্পর্ক তার থেকে বেশি হলো "কে কখন দেখতে চায়" তার সম্পর্ক বেশি।

আমরা এর আগে কোনো বছর ৬ দিন ব্যাপি রোজার ঈদও দেখেছি। অর্থাৎ আমাবস্যার ৩ দিন আগে কোনো দেশে চাদ দেখার ঘোষনা এসেছে, আমাবস্যার পরে ৩ দিন পর্যন্ত কোনো না কোনো দেশে দেখার ঘোষনা চলেছে। সর্বশেষ দেশ ছিলো বাংলাদেশ ৬ষ্ঠ দিনে একা। ভারত-পাকিস্তানে এর আগের দিন ঈদ হয়ে গিয়েছিলো।

রমজানের শেষের দিনগুলোতে "আল্লাহু আকবার আল্লাহু আকবার লা ইলাহা ইল্লাল্লাহু। আল্লাহু আকবার আল্লাহু আকবার ওয়া লিল্লাহিল হামদ" -- এটা বেশি বেশি করে পড়তে হয়। উঠতে বসতে যখনই মনে পড়ে। এটা সুন্নাহ।

আমার কাজ এগুলোর "প্রতিবাদ" করা না। বরং এর খারাপটাকে খারাপ জেনে "অপছন্দ" করা। এটা সবচেয়ে সহজ কাজ ঠিক?

এর পর যখন দেখি বেশি দামে বিক্রি করছে বলে বাজারের গরুর গোস্ত লুট করে এতিমখানায় "দান" করছে তখন খুশিতে ফালাই।

লেবেল বা কাগজ নেই বলে লক্ষ কোটি টাকার মাল নষ্ট করছে তখনো ফেসবুকের কমেন্টে এসে উল্লাস করি।

এত উল্লাস যে এই জালেমরা পর্যন্ত নিজেদের জুলুমের কথা প্রচার করার জন্য ফেসবুকে পেইজ খুলে লাইভ জুলুমের শো করে।

আমার উল্লাস কমে না।

এখন "অপছন্দটা"-ও আর নেই।

কিন্তু সেই পুরানো দোষ। পাপি যখন বলতে থাকে "আমি কোনো পাপ করি নি। বরং দুনিয়াটাই খারাপ..." তখন যে অবস্থা হয় আমার অবস্থাও একই।

যেমন ফেসবুকে শত্রু মিত্র কাউকে গালি দিয়েছি বলে মনে পড়ে না। কেউ রাগ দেখাতে থাকলে, বা তর্ক বাড়াতে থাকলে তাকে বরং ব্লক করে দিয়েছি। কারন তার রাগের উপর আমি নিজেকে পরিবর্তিত করবো না। তার কথা যদি আমার কাছে ভুল মনে হয় তবে তাকে নিজের উস্তাদও বানাবো না।

কিন্তু ব্লক করাটা কোনো অপরাধ কিনা, যে জন্য ক্ষমা চাওয়ার কারন আছে -- সেটা প্রশ্ন। কাউকে খারাপ কথা বলে থাকলে চাইতে পারতাম। কিন্তু আমার মনে হয় আমি বলি নি :-)

যা বলছিলাম, অপরাধি যখন মনে করে "আমি দোষি না, বরং দুনিয়াটাই খারাপ"।

যারা সেখানে যায় তারা আড়ংয়ে দাম বেশি বলেই যায়। আপনার আমার মতো হিসাবি মানুষ আড়ংয়ে কিনার জন্য যায় না। আমাদের জন্য অন্য জায়গা আছে।

যারা যায়, তারা এর মালিক কে, এর শিক্ষা কি সেগুলো জেনে এগুলোর সাথে হয় একমত নয়তো এসব কেয়ার না করে আড়ংয়ে যায়।

ঈদের আগে রমজানে আড়ংয়ে গিয়ে দেখবেন ঢুকার মতো রাস্তা নেই এত ভীড়। দাম কমালে তাদের বিক্রি আরো বাড়বে না।

আপনি আমি কিনতে চাই না, ভালো। কথা শেষ।

"আরেকজন কেন কিনে সেটা মানি না" -- তবে সমস্যা।

• তারাবিতে যাচ্ছি। আগেও অনেক বছর তারাবির মাঝখানে খবর আসতো "বিটিভিতে বলেছে চাদ দেখা গিয়েছে" এর পর মাঝ পথে তারাবি বন্ধ।

  এক বছর রাত ১০টায় খবর এসেছিলো চাদ দেখার ১৯৯৮ সালে সম্ভবতঃ। তারাবির অনেক পরে।

এখন এর আগে আমাদের গ্লোবালিষ্ট ভাইয়েরা যখন শহরে কমুনিটি সেন্টার ভাড়া করে একদিন আগে ঈদের নামাজ চালু করেছিলো তখন এলাকা বাসি তাদের পিটিয়ে পুলিশ ডেকে নামাজ বন্ধ করে দিয়েছিলো।

এখন রাজারবাগীদের ঈদের নামাজ নিয়েও কি একই অবস্থা হবে?

এখন মন্ত্রী আসা মাত্রই সকল রিসোর্সের ৯০% চলে যায় সরকার তুষ্টিতে। লাল কার্পেট আর ফুলে। প্রচার প্রপাগান্ডার দরকার আছে। এটা বড় সুযোগ। কর্মিরা চলে যায় ৬ স্তর দূরে। বড়দের জুতা পালিশ করার পরে যদি তাদের সময় থাকে।

গত কয়েক মাসের ড্রামার পরে চাদ দেখা কমিটিকে এইবার একটা কৌতুকে পরিনত করা হয়েছে সফল ভাবে। আর কোনো আস্থা নেই। পাইক পেয়াদা মন্ত্রীরা যা চায়। "...কে দিয়েছে?" এর সাথে এখন নতুন যোগ করতে পারেন "চাদ/ঈদ/ঘোষনা"। ঘোষনার ক্রেডিটটা কার?

শিক্ষা? "জালেমের ভালো কাজের প্রসংশা করো না।" করলে আল্লাহ তায়ালা শিগ্রই তার জুলুমে তোমাকেও ফেলে দেবেন।

আমি আল্লাহর কাছে রক্ষা চাচ্ছি জালেম বা মজলুম হওয়া থেকে।

তাই তকবির পড়তে পড়তে ঈদগাহে যাই।

ঐ হাদিসে আছে আল্লাহ তায়ালা বলেন ঈদগাহে বান্দা যা চাইবে তাই দেয়া হবে কারন সে তার কাজ শেষ করেছে।

তাই ঈদগাহে দোয়া করি।

শেষে ফিরার সময় ফিরিস্তারা বলে "তোমার সব গুনাহ মাফ করে দেয়া হয়েছে এখন নতুন করে আমল করো।"

তাই গুনাহ থেকে হিফাজত থাকি।

হাদিসটা হয়তো জয়িফ, আলেমরা বলতে পারবেন। কিন্তু হানাফি মাজহাবে ফাজায়েলের ক্ষেত্রে জয়িফ হাদিসের উপর আমল করা যায়।

এর পর বৃষ্টি চললো ১ ঘন্টা। শেষে নিজেও ভিজে ভিজে মসজিদ থেকে ফিরলাম। কে মসজিদে নামাজ পড়ে ফিরছে, আর কে ময়দান থেকে পার্থক্য বুঝার উপায় নেই।

এখন মিকাত কত দূরে এবং আপনার শহর মিকাতের বাইরে কিনা সেটা জেনে নিতে হবে। জেদ্দা মিকাতের ভেতর। গিয়ে ফিরলে নতুন করে এহরাম বাধতে হবে না। মদিনা মিকাতের বাইরে। তায়েফ মিকাতের ভেতর না বাইরে জানা নেই।

বিস্তারিত আলেমগন জানেন। আলেমদের জিজ্ঞাসা না করে নিজে জানার জন্য "হজ্জ ও মাসায়িল" নামে একটা কালো কভারের বই আছে বাংলায় বেশ মোটা কিন্তু অনেক ডিটেলস। সেটা পড়ে জেনে নিতে পারেন। বা হজ্জ ওমরার সফরে সংগে রাখতে পারেন, রেফারেন্স হিসাবে।

আমার প্রতিবেশি আমার মাল চুরি করে এর পর ফেরত দিয়ে গিয়েছে।

কোনটা বুঝায়?

- সে চোর। চুরি করলো কেন?

That's where we really need a LOT of robots.

Romba did part of it. But cleaning job is tough. You need to differentiate between what's asset and what's junk, find your way towards those junk, collect those and finally recycle those.

And these robots will turn to junk as soon as they break down, possibly not doing enough cleaning job in its lifetime to offset its contribution in increasing the junk.

Basically making robots work to decrease entropy of the universe. Vision of the future. :-)

That having two competing standards is good. Otherwise it's a monopoly that can be abused to destroy competition at will. Think of wifi and bluetooth standards that Huawei can't use anymore. Having a competing standard would have hurt consumers, but then both the standard bodies would have got incentives to keep manufacturing companies at their bay.

The good side?

Maybe this will cause China-Russia to come up with their own competing standard. Imagine what will happen if in some near future USA simply blocks DNS or Internet access to Russia, because "that's enemy territory."

তাকে কি কোনো ইতেকাফ কাজা করতে হবে?

জানা নেই।

উল্লেখ্য হানাফি মাজহাবে ইতেকাফ কাজা করা শহরবাসির জন্য কষ্টকর। মসজিদের ইমাম-মুয়াজ্জিন-কমিটিকে বুঝাতে হবে কেন রমজানের বাইরে ইতেকাফ করতে চাচ্ছি, যেটা তারা জীবনেও দেখে নি। তারা বিরক্ত হবে ঝামেলা মনে করে, আবার মসজিদের সিকিউরিটির জন্য অপরিচিত হলে ইতেকাফ করতে দেবে না। এর পরও একা একা করতে হবে, সংগে কেউ নেই। এবং ঐ দিন রোজা রাখতে হবে রমজানের বাইরে হলেও।

বুঝতে হবে আমরা সবাই একই নৌকায়। ডুবলো তো সবাই ডুববো। মুসলিমদের মাঝে আমরা যত ফারাক দেখি "আমি তাদের সাথে না" "তাদের সাথে আমার মতের যোজন যোজন পার্থক্য" শত্রুরা এরকম কোনো ফারাক দেখে না।

তসলিমা আপুর কথা চিন্তা করেন। বলে দিয়েছে আমি মুসলিমদের ঘৃনা করি তার পরও ভারতের হিন্দুরা তাকে এখনো শত্রু পক্ষের মনে করে।

এটা ছোটকাল থেকে দেখে আসছি যে অন্যান্য ইসলামি দল আমাকে যত অপছন্দ করে, আমি অন্যান্য দলকে অত অপছন্দ করি না। এভাবেই থাকতে চাই।

এত কাছে না যে তারা মনে করে আমি তাদের দলে, আবার এত বিরোধি না যে তাদেরকে আমি শত্রু মনে করতে থাকি।

কারন আমরা সবাই এক নৌকায়।

বুঝতে হবে এই দেশ ছোট্ট একটা দেশ। চারদিকে শত্রু। যে কোনো সময় হয়তো দুমড়ে দেবে। ঐ সময়ে যে শত্রু পক্ষে থাকবে, সে শত্রু। যে পাশে থাকবে সে বন্ধু, সে যে দলের হোক না কেন। কোন দল কোন দিকে যাবে এখনই বুঝার উপায় নেই। তাই এখনই অন্তর্দ্বন্ধে কোনো লাভ নেই।

In one sense it's good as it creates worker circulation which brings new opportunity for the young.

But it seems to me that airline job as a whole is a thankless job. You can fly for years without incidence and you would be "just another pilot that does his job". Anytime you make your first mistake you lose your job and get marked as unemployable for the rest of your life.

We used to open the map and find a VERY large strip of land called U.S.S.R. in the north. Marked always in red. That country no longer exists in recent maps.

Most of the novels, fictions, movies were based on WW2 events. Most other villains were from USSR. Now a days the villains are mostly aliens from outer space. Catastrophic events have changed from then avoidance of a nuclear war to now asteroid fall.

TV wasn't that violent. The long run of A-Team didn't show anyone killed, only hurt or humiliated. Now it's all about killing as much people on screen as time allows.

These were the time in 70s and 80s. And things changed after the 90s.

So what changed?

Maybe people were focused too much to be the good guy acknowledging human rights and everything, against the communist who didn't really care about these things. And as communism fell, that requirement became moot, and now almost non existent.

হয়তো ইরানকে সাপোর্ট করবো। সাপোর্ট দা আন্ডারডগ। আমাদের মানহাজি ভাইদের কাছে এই সাপোর্ট-বিরোধিতা "দ্বিনের" অংশ। আমার কাছে এগুলো "খেলার" অংশ। তাই তাদের সাথে আবার দ্বন্ধ লাগবে।

একজন হয়তো বলবে, "এক্স-শিয়া সানজির হাবিব ..."
অন্যজন, "এক্স কে বললো? উনি তো ছোটকাল থেকেই শিয়া ..."
"হায়রে। সেই এক্স-দায়েশ এখন এক্স-শিয়া? দ্বিনের নামে যে কি চলছে ...."

এর পর ইরান এই যুদ্ধে হারবে, এটা আগে থেকে জানি। তারা হারার পরে আবার এন্টি শিয়া হবো।

"আবার পল্টি দিয়েছেন..."
"আমাদের পল্টিবাজ সানজির হাবিব ...."
"উনারে পাত্তা দেন কেন? না দিলেই তো হয় ..."

কিন্তু এটা এখনো গুজব। টুইটারে এই ব্যপারে কিছু নেই। খবরেও নেই।

এটা বুঝতে হবে যে কিছু দিন পর পর ইরানি মিডিয়া থেকে সৌদি বিরোধি গুজব ছাড়া হয়। কিন্তু কোনটা গুজব আর কোনটা সত্য সেটা বুঝাও টাফ।

কারন উনাকে যখন গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছিলো তখন একগাদা আপত্তি চলে এসেছিলো "এটা গুজব"। শেষে এখন এটা প্রতিষ্ঠিত যে উনাকে সত্যি গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছিলো এবং এখনো জেলে আছেন।

উল্টোদিকে বলা হয়েছিলো শেখ সালমান আল-উদা সহ তিনজনকে মৃত্যুদন্ড দেয়া হবে রমজানের পরে। কিন্তু এখনো কোনো খবর নেই। হয়তো গুজব, হয়তো সত্যি, বুঝার উপায় নেই।

তাই "হলে জানা যাবে" মুডে থাকা ভালো। "হতে যাচ্ছে" এই খবরে উত্তেজিত হবার কারন নেই।

কিন্তু উনাদের বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ কি ছিলো?

বর্তমান সৌদি সরকার "ইখওয়ানি" নাম দিয়ে আলেমদের গ্রেফতার করছে। কারন যাদের গ্রেফতার করা হচ্ছে পরে মিডিয়ায় তারা কিভাবে "ইখওয়ানি" সেই প্রমান দেখাচ্ছে। প্রোপাগান্ডার অংশ।

এখন এই সব ব্যপারে কিছু বললেও আবার দুই পক্ষের বহু আপত্তিকারি জমে যায়। কারন দেশে কিছ লোক চরম সৌদি সরকারের পক্ষে। কিছু চরম বিপক্ষে। দুই ধারাই সালাফি। কিন্তু দুই পক্ষেরই সর্বোচ্চ চেষ্টা থাকে "এই খবর ঠিক না" "জেনে কথা বলবেন" এই সব বলে অন্য পক্ষকে চাপে রাখা। মাঝখানে পেরায় পড়ি আমরা যাদের কাছে এগুলো অত বড় ইশু না যত বড় করে প্রো বা এন্টিরা দেখে।

আজকে ওজন ৭৯ কেজি। তাই পুরো রমজানে শুধু মাত্র ইফতারি খেয়ে এবং ইফতারি ছাড়া আর কিছু না খেয়ে ওজন কমেছে ৪ কেজি। mission failed.

এখন ৬ রোজায় না খেয়ে থাকার সময় আরো বাড়িয়ে দেখছি কিছু হয় কিনা। যেমন দুপুরে খেয়ে রাতে বা সেহরিতে কিছু না খেয়ে পরদিন আবার রোজা :-)

একজন নাস্তিক ইসলাম বিরোধি কথা বললো। তাকে ভুল প্রমান করার মাঝে আমার দ্বিনের সত্যতা নির্ভর করে না। তার কথায় আমার কিছু যায় আসে না। আখিরাতে আমার পরিনতি তার পরিনতির সংগে একসাথে বাধা না।

আমি তাকে পুরোপুরিই ইগনোর করে নিজের বিশ্বাস নিয়ে থাকতে পারি।

কাউকে বললাম "তুই জাহান্নামে যাবি, তুই যদি জান্নাতে যাস তবে সেই জান্নাতে আমি যাইতে চাই না।"

এখন আমার জান্নাতে যাওয়া তার পরিনতির উপর শর্তাধিন। তাম্বিউল গাফেলিনে এরকম একটা ঘটনার কথা বর্নিত আছে। শেষে যাকে বলেছিলো সে জান্নাতি হয়, যে বলেছিলো সে জাহান্নামি। তার এ রকম কড়া কসম খাওয়ার কারনে।

কোনো "মুসলিমকে" "তাগুত" ডেকে হত্যা করলাম। এখন আমার জান্নাত তার উপর শর্তাধিন। সে জান্নাতি হলে আমি জাহান্নামি।

আমার ভয় আমার দ্বন্ধ থেকে আমি বাকি জীবন সবার সাথে তর্ক করতে থাকবো।

নাস্তিকরা এখানে গৌন। বরং আমার দ্বিনের সত্যতা নির্ভর করে যারা আমার দাবি ভুল বলে তাদেরকে ভুল প্রমান করার মাঝে।

আল্লাহ তায়ালা আমাদের খারাপ পরিনতি থেকে হিফাজত করুন।

জাকির নায়েককে আমি ভালো মানুষ হিসাবে দেখি। মুখলেস। দ্বিনে জন্য কোরবানী অনেক। মাসলা মাসায়েলের ব্যপারে হানাফিদের সাথে হয়তো দ্বিমত আছে। কিন্তু এরকম দ্বিমত আরো অনেকের সাথে আছে। এগুলো নিয়ে আমি তর্ক করি না। আজকে খবর দেখলাম ভারত উনাকে এক্সট্রাডিট করার জন্য মালয়শিয়াকে অনুরোধ জানাবে। মজলুম।

গত প্রায় ৭-৮ বছর ধরে আমরা দেখছি :

- আগে যেখানে হিসাবে দেখা যাবার খুব কম সম্ভাবনা থাকলেও দেখা যেতো, ইদানিং দেখা যাবার ভালো সম্ভাবনা থাকলেও "দেখা যায় নি" রিপোর্ট আসছিলো।

- আগে ভারত-পাকিস্তানে দেখা গিয়েছে কিন্তু বাংলাদেশে দেখা যায় নি এরকম কখনো হয় নি। কিন্তু ইদানিং এরকম হচ্ছিলো।

পরে নয়ন চ্যটার্জির রিপোর্ট আসে :

- চাদ দেখা কমিটির লোক ৬৪ জেলায় আছে। তাদের প্রতি মাসে চাদ দেখার জন্য ২ থেকে ৪ হাজার টাকা করে বেতন দেয়। কিন্তু এরা চাদ দেখার দিন চাদ না দেখে অফিসে বসে বসে চা খায়।

- যদিও কমিটি পত্রিকায় ফোন নম্বর দিয়ে দেয় কিন্ত এই নম্বরগুলো কেউ ধরে না। বা এগুলো গ্রহন করে না। কমিটির বেতনভুক্ত যাদের কথা উপরে বললাম, তাদের রিপোর্ট অনুসরন করে।

<আরো কিছু বলতে চাচ্ছিলাম কিন্তু কেটে দিলাম। এতটুকু বললাম>

আচ্ছা, সৌদিতে যদি আগের সন্ধায় চাদ দেখা যায় তবে বাংলাদেশে এর পর দিন সন্ধায় চাদ দেখা না যায় কি করে? চাদ তো বাড়তে থাকে, প্রথম দিন বেড়ে, দ্বিতীয় দিন কমে যায় না।

দ্বিতীয় দিন আমরা কোনো রকমে দেখেছি। তবে সৌদি আগের দিন কি দেখেছিলো?

দাবি : "এবার সরকারের দক্ষতার প্রসংশা করতে হয়"

সারা দেশে রাজার বাগির মুরিদ কত? ১ লক্ষ? এদের নিয়ে এরা সন্ধায় চাদ দেখার ঘোষনা দিয়ে দিয়েছে। এবং ভুয়া বলে আমি মনে করি না, কারন সরকার যে এলাকা থেকে চাদ দেখার ঘোষনা দিয়েছে ঐ জায়গার কথা তারা সন্ধায়ই বলেছে।

আর সরকারের কর্মি কত? দেশের ১৫ কোটি মানুষ সবাই। এর মাঝে বেতন ভোগি আছে আরো হাজার হাজার যাদের কাজই শুধু চাদ দেখা। কোটি কোটি টাকা বাজেট। মহাকাশ গবেষনা, আবহাওয়া বিভাগ, আহমদ শফি সাহেব অনেকের নাম নেয়া হয়েছে ঘোষনায়।

তারা শবে বরাত আমাদের এক দিন আগে করেছে। মানে শাবান মাস আরম্ভ করেছে ১ দিন আগে।

কিন্তু রমজান আমাদের সাথেই আরম্ভ করেছে। অর্থাৎ তাদের শাবান ছিলো ৩০ দিনে আমাদের ২৯ দিনে।

ঈদ আমাদের সাথে করেছে। মানে রমজান ২৯ দিনে।

আমাদের আরবি পর পর দুই মাস ২৯শে হলো। এর আগের পর পর চার মাস হয়েছে ৩০ দিনে।

"আমাদের চাদ দেখার দিন রাজারবাগীদের ৩০ রোজা ছিলো সে জন্য তাদের চাদ দেখার প্রয়োজন ছিলো না" -- এই কথাটা উপরের ব্যখ্যায় ঠিক না।

এটা আমার চোখে যতটুকু পড়েছে তাদের ডিক্লেরেশন তা থেকে বলছি। কেউ ভিন্ন কিছু জানলে জানাতে পারেন।

Previously : there is thin zone around a star's orbit that's called habitable zone. Any planet farther or nearer to the star than that is unhabitable.

Plus, planet size should be almost equal to that of earth. Otherwise it's unhabitable due to too much or less gravity.

But the 4000+ planets discovered so far are either very large or too small. No good mach. Indicating that planets our earth's sized are extremely rare.

Today's research : the habitable zone is almost non-existent for most stars. If the planet is too close to the star for proper sun light, radiation will inevitably create toxic chemicals in it's atmosphere rendering it unlivable.

Lesson? Earth is almost as unique as we can understand.

সৌদিতে যেদিন দেখেছে সে দিন পাকিস্তানের উত্তরে পেশওয়ারেও মানুষ চাদ দেখেছে। একারনে সৌদির সাথে ঈদ করেছে উত্তরের রাজ্য। বাকি দেশ পরদিন আমাদের সাথে।

হানাফি ফিকাহতে রোজা আরম্ভ করার জন্য দুই জন সাক্ষ্য হলেই হবে। কিন্তু রোজা শেষ করার জন্য দুই জন সাক্ষ হলে হবে না। শত শত মানুষকে চাদ দেখে সাক্ষ্য দিতে হবে যদি আকাশ পরিষ্কার থাকে। ফতোয়ায়ে আলমগিরি দ্রষ্টব্য। প্লাস কিছু আলেমের কাছেও শুনেছি একই কথা।

এটা ভুল দেখা, বা ভুল সাক্ষ্য এর প্রতিরোধের জন্য।

তাই বাংলাদেশে ঈদের চাদ যদি দুই-তিন জন সাক্ষ্য দেয়, তবে সেটা কমিটি গ্রহন না করলেও আমি আপত্তির কিছু দেখি না। যদি এই মাসলা উপর আমল করার নিয়তে করা হয়।

কিন্তু জানি এটা বেশি দিন করতে পারবো না। করলে মার্কড হয়ে যাবো। হয় মসজিদের মুসুল্লিদের কিছু মনে করবে আমি "ছুপা"। সমাজ/চাকরির ভয়ে নিজেকে প্রকাশ করতে পারি না, কিন্তু অন্তরে আহলে হাদিস। নয়তো অন্য কিছু লোক মনে করবে আমি "এজেন্ট"। আহলে হাদিস ভং ধরে তাদের ঐক্য বিনষ্ট বা কিছু ক্ষতি করতে আসছি।

বলেনি, কিন্তু বলবে। কেমনে বুঝলাম? কারন বারবার বিভিন্ন দলে এরকম হয় দেখে আসছি সারা জীবন।

কোনো দলের কাছে যেতে হলে পুরোপুরি তাদের মাঝে ঢুকে যেতে হবে অন্য দলগুলোকে ভুল ঘোষনা দিয়ে। নয়তো আপনি সন্দেহজনক, "ফিতনাকারী"।

তাই এখনো "আনবেলেন্সড" রয়ে গেলাম। "চরমপন্থি"।

The point? They were trying to hide their involvement by removing the evidence.

Or maybe not. News suggested Iran was rescuing the crew. And before rescue, what would you do? Remove any un-exploded mine from the ship. Otherwise it's dangerous for the rescue operation to proceed. And USA navy probably would have done the same.

Why now to twitter, and why not earlier? After twitter increased post size from previous 128 bytes to 256, things got easier there. And meaningful posts can be published without much summarization. Plus the Trump effect. All diplomacy are now on Twitter.

My English got a bit rusty over the years as focus went too much in learning Arabic and didn't care about English, but a few days of practice and it seems am up and moving.

The switch isn't new. And I had to made a lot of platform changes over the decades.

Now I am on FB. Prior to that Somewherein blog, preceded by yahoo mailing lists, preceded by reddit, before that fark, before that digg, before that slashdot.

Not to forget the first one -- IRC chat in mid 90s.

The lesson? First task on any new platform - You need to select your friends and circle wisely, as you will then be defined by your friends.

Don't know the reason. Maybe its the slow economy and people don't have much money at hand to spare. Or maybe people are scared to eat fruits because of all these reports of chemical processing.

Or maybe it's over production. As watermelon was over priced this year compared to any year before. And wasn't in market for long. The size that sold for Tk.200 in other years, sold for 400 this year. And jumped to 600 as soon as Ramadan arrived.

Even this can be explained by "every nation gets the ruler it deserves" saying. The tyrant was there in the first place because the people of this land deserved one.

So what should a Muslim's position be in this situation? Hadith calls for "support the ruler, but dislike his evil deeds." But that's a hard task to hate the evil deeds of a ruler but still be supportive of him.

Which is why Muslim saints call for "don't approach the ruler for anything, rather keep your distance". As power corrupts, so does proximity to power.

By the end of it all, I would be asked about my deeds in life, and not my boss's or my ruler's.

মনে করেন আপনি দ্বিন সম্পর্কে কিছু জানেন। অন্য কেউ যে কম জানে সে এসে আপনার কাছে কোনো মাসলা জিজ্ঞাসা করলো। তাই তাকে আপনি উত্তরটা জানিয়ে দিয়ে সাহায্য করছেন, ঠিক?

না ভুল। এটা ট্রেপ, ফাদ।

সে যদি আপনার ঘরের কেউ হয় তবে ভিন্ন কথা। এর বাইরে যেই জিজ্ঞাসা করবে সে অলরেডি এর উত্তর জানে। অনেককে জিজ্ঞাসা করেছে। হয়তো কয়েক মাস ধরে। কিন্তু উত্তরটা তার পছন্দ না। সে তার পছন্দের উত্তর চাচ্ছে। এজন্য আপনাকে জিজ্ঞাসা।

কোনো আলেমের কাছে পাঠিয়ে দিন। তারা কড়া। এবং কড়া করে উত্তর দেয়ার প্রেকটিশ তাদের আছে। সে ঐ ভাবে উত্তর দিয়ে বসে থাকবে। রদ বদল নেই। সেটা না করে আপনি নিজে সাহায্য করতে যাবেন তো দুনিয়া আখিরাত দুই জায়গায় ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ হবেন।

নিজের পরিবারকে শিখাতে সমস্যা নেই।

আমি এখনো এটা ফলো করি।

কিন্তু যদি কেউ পক্ষ নেয়? তবে "বিশেষন" লাগানো, গালি দেয়া -- এগুলো সময়ের সাথে সাথে বাড়তে থাকবে

যেমন, "আপনি উনার বিষয়ে এই কথা বললেন, কিন্তু অন্য একজনের বিষয়ে বলছেন না কেন?"
"আচ্ছা বলছি। কারন আমি ব্যলেন্সড থাকতে চাই।"

সময়ের সাথে সাথে কথা-গালি বেড়ে এর পর একদিন দেখবেন অনেক কথা বলা হয়ে গিয়েছে যেগুলো নিয়ে হাশরে হাজির না হয়ে আমি নিশ্চিৎ হতে পারবো না সেগুলো ঠিক নাকি ভুল? এই বিশেষন-কংক্লুশন গুলো না নিয়ে হাজির হলে আমি এই বিষয়ে নিশ্চিন্তে থাকতে পারতাম।

তাই কেউ ঘটনা বর্ননা করছে। আমি তার দোষ দেখি না। কিছু আছে যারা বর্ননা করলেই দোষ দেখে - তাদের অন্তর বরং দুর্বল। সেক্ষেত্রে এগুলো জানার তার দরকার নেই।

তবে কেউ এগুলো বিশ্লেষন করে তাদের কাউকে ভুল-ঠিক-ভালো-মন্দ বলছেন -- তবে আমি পলাই। একটা গালি অন্তরে গেলে সেটা পরিষ্কার করতে সময় লাগে।

ব্যক্তিগত ভাবে ভালো মন্দ সব ঘটনার বর্ননা সাহাবি বা নবী রসুলদের উপরে আমার সম্মান ভক্তি বাড়ায়। কোনোটা কমায় না আলহামদুলিল্লহ। উনারা যাই করুক।

Would I be taking it? I won't have accepted it, had it been mined like bitcoin. Bitcoin is more like : who can waste more electricity to prove himself worthy of a coin. Leading to at one time 20% of total world energy being wasted behind it. But this one's different. And I probably will be taking it -- if I had the spare money.

FB could have just decided to NOT use blockchain, instead use a simple database like PayPal and things would have been the same. But bringing in a jargon like blockchain increases the product's worthiness, if only for that term.

Give people the impression that they have power and they will come in flocks.

Airbus Orders : 130 planes
Boeing : 0

Previous interesting news was that Boeing's manufacturing unit can chuck out about 2 planes a day. And even after 737 MAX was grounded it produced about 150 planes in three months. All are sitting idle, though. Guess Airbus can now use Boeing's production facilities :-)

This week Germany didn't allow a MAX to fly over its airspace, even though it was for repositioning an empty plane.

It's the brand value that matters. They could have avoided it by swallowing this cost after Indonesia crash and not waiting for the second crash, before investigating and confirming the problem.

Find an niche field and capture that. Don't rush with the crowd. And I would still say "commerce" is the worst field that you can get a degree in this market. As it's overcrowded and 90% of all students in BD get a degree in business studies.

But what if you are enrolled in commerce anyway? I would say, better if you can fall down to arts. It has better prospectus. Article writing is an "Arts" subject.

আমি না পড়লেও আমার পরের জেনারেশন এগুলো থেকে উপকৃত হবে ইনশাল্লাহ। যেমন আমি উপকৃত হয়েছিলাম আমার বাপ দাদার কিনে রেখে যাওয়া বই থেকে ছোটকালে।

রুকইয়া তাড়াতাড়ি করে কিনেছি কারন ফেসবুকে দেখলাম একজন রুকইয়া বিরোধি স্টেটাস দিচ্ছে। বাড়তে থাকলে কিছু দিন পরে এটা ব্যন হয়ে যেতে পারে। তাই আগে থেকে কিনে রাখা ‌:-)

You need to clean all the floor area of the whole house -- daily, and that's the start. Imagine if the home you live in is like a castle. How long might it take to clean it all? and repeating it daily? Otherwise your dream castle will look like a doomed castle within a month, with all the dust covering everything.

Hiring helping hand is expensive.

Living in a small house with a large exterior open area is a better choice.

Middle East wars generally start AFTER Hajj and not before Hajj. That's when First Gulf war, Second Gulf war and Afghan war started.

Right now its before hajj. No one likes an ongoing war in Gulf while millions of Hajjis are flying to Mecca.

এক দিকে আমাদের জিহাদিষ্টদের আক্রমন : কেন তাদের "আকিদা" আমি গ্রহন করি না। অন্য দিকে "আখিরুজ্জামান" পন্থিদের আক্রমন, কেন আমি তাদের "সব কিছু এই হতে চললো বলে" প্রেডিকশনের বিরোধিতা করছি। অন্য দিকে শত দলের হাজার ফলোয়ার। প্রত্যেকে নিজের দলের শিক্ষার বাইরে কিছু দেখলেই আক্রমন।

অন্য দিকে নিজে নিজে খুজে ফিরা "মাঝের রাস্তা" তবে কোনটা?

প্লাস ফেসবুক এখন অপরিচিত কারো মেসেজ ইনবক্সে দেখায় না, এমন কি আগের মতো মেসেজ রিকুয়েষ্ট হিসাবেও দেখায় না। মেসেজ পড়তে হলে আমাকে তার প্রফাইলে গিয়ে, তার মেসেজ বাটনে চাপ দিয়ে, তাকে মেসেজ করার জন্য উইন্ডো খুলতে হয়, তখন দেখা যায় সে বহু আগে আমাকে একটা মেসেজ পাঠিয়েছিলো যেটা জানতামই না। স্টেটাসে কমেন্ট করলে জানতে পারবো। কিন্তু এখানেও প্যরা আছে। একেবারে অপরিচিত কেউ হলে কমেন্ট করলেও ফেসবুক সংগে সংগে সেটা মুছে দেয়।

শেষে চাকরি-ব্যস্ততার জন্য ইনবক্স-আউটবক্স কোনোটারই জবাব দেবার সময় পাই না। তাই জবাব না পেলে রাগ করার অর্থ নেই।

"ব্লক করলে কিভাবে জানাবে? হাহা আপনার কথা শুনে আমি হাসতে হাসতে গড়া গড়ি খাচ্ছি।"

Trump wanted to speed up the negotiation with Iran. So he did what he did with Mexico. "You have 48 hours before new tariff ... unless you can negotiate a deal with me" And Mexico broke down before him.

He tried the same with Iran. Ordered fleet movement. And contacted Iran via Oman. "Bombers are on their way, you have 30 minutes [or whatever] to accept my demands."

But Iran didn't bend. They said via Oman that no one can talk on these issues except for Khomeny. And the Khomeny wasn't available or didn't want to talk. Plus, Iran informed back : if it's attacked, it will retaliate. Trump didn't actually want to bomb Iran anyway. So he ordered the fleet back.

He was playing chicken. And lost it this time, if this news is true.

Saudi's crackdown on any scholar, who even remotely shows the slightest sympathy with the Ikhwanis, is so harsh that as per Mijan Harun vai's report, not a single message was posted in their scholar's private discussion groups after the death of Morsi, which in general is flooded with prayers for any other's death.

Our old pal Matiur Rahman Madani recently had been running a lecture series against Ikhwanis in BD. The timing says that it's inter winded with Saudi Gov's crackdown, and general order from Saudi gov to scholars to oppose Ikhwanis and preach against them.

Which means our beloved Matiur Rahman Madani doesn't talk for himself, at least not always. And there's a guide above him who dictates what to talk on. Assumption.

Airbus sales : 600 planes
Boeing : 230

And 200 of those 230 are for the, now grounded, 737 MAX, and all placed by a single airline. Now all these orders are useless if this model fails to fly again, which still seems likely. Exclude these and total number of Boeing orders stand at only 34. Indicating a large drop in confidence regardless of model.

So which airline ordered these many MAXes? Old pal British Airways.

Now overall, what's in it for us? An indication of shift, that's all. You can generalize the shift or compare it with other shifts to create an idea on where the world might be heading.

But don't read too much into it.

যারা এখনো রাগে ক্ষোভে আমার উপর ফুসছেন। আপনাদের জন্য আমি যা করতে পারি।

১। চেষ্টা করবো আপনাদের পজিটিভ সাইডগুলোর উপর আলোকপাত করার জন্য।

২। আবার যদি আপনারা মধ্যপ্রাচ্যে যুদ্ধে নামেন আমি যাদের শত্রু মনে করি তাদের বিরুদ্ধে, তবে আপনাদের সমর্থন করবো। এত ঘৃনা আমার মাঝে নেই যে আপনাদের সবসময় বিরোধিতা করবো। কিন্তু আপনারা হারলে আবার পল্টি দেবো। এত সমর্থনও আমার মাঝে নেই আমার মাঝে।

৩। আপনাদের কোনো দলকে আমি বায়াত দিলে ভিন্ন কথা। কিন্তু আমি কাউকে বায়াত দেই নি। আর আপনাদের মাঝে যারা এখনো কোনো দলকে বায়াত দেন নি তারা আমার থেকে বড় কোনো জিহাদি না।

It's as old as world history goes. So no point in explaining the phenomenon. A few "signs" that expresses whether a dynasty is in rising state or declining.

Declining when you see :

- Lack of good luck. Unexpectedly their projects fail, which can be attributed bad luck, if not to bureaucracy, or incompetence.

- Division within, specially in the ruling class.

তবে এই অবস্থায় পকেট সাবধান। এক্সিডেন্টের পর পরই এলাকার মানুষ এসে পকেট হাতড়িয়ে আপনার মানি ব্যগ আর মোবাইল ফোন নিয়ে যাবে। দেশের যে এলাকায় এক্সিডেন্ট করেন না কেন। আপনি কিছু করতে পারবেন না কারন আপনি রক্তাক্ত এবং ধারনা করবেন তারা হয়তো আপনাকে উদ্ধারের জন্য এসেছে।

- He is anti bureaucracy. Like, "Adding a new regulation will require removing two."

- The flow of immigrants wasn't sustainable. Someone had to do the unpopular work. Result : the wall, ICE, millions to be deported, and pressurizing Mexico.

- USA had to fix mismatched tariff with other countries. He did what should have been done decades ago.

- The "deep state" can't guide him telling BS, like how they dealt with every other president before him. He knows what he wants, and can damn the analysts.

Trump seems hell bent NOT to get engaged in a war with Iran. Today's tweet : he doesn't care how many ships Iran sink in the Gulf or even if it closes Hormuz. It's ok for him if only Iran doesn't produce any nuclear weapon.

I would have said yesterday that the ball is in Trump's court. Things changed today. The ball is now in Iran's court.

Apparently Trump is under great pressure. He unilaterally cancelled deal with Iran. Consequences of which rolled up to here. Now if a war breaks out, it will be counted as his doing.

Iran knows it. Which is why it's time we wait to watch Iran's move.

So how much money does Khomeni have in foreign banks?

Plus, "Executive Order" reminds me of Tom Clancy's fiction with the same title from the 90s. Interestingly it was also about a confrontation between USA and Iran. Where USA finally bombs Khomeni's home in Iran and kills him.

The launch was successful, so was delivering the payload and landing the boosters. But core landing failed spectacularly. It was a hard job nevertheless. And spacex hasn't landed a core successfuly yet. This probably was its first try.

Yesterday Pompeo's sudden visit to Afghanistan. He wants to ensure that Afghan frontier is calm if an Iran crisis escalates. Same goes for sudden loan sanctioned to Pakistan, two months back. Keep the number of foes at bay, before a crisis.

Also, Pakistan seems like the "swing state" in the upcoming confrontation. Even if it takes KSA's side in the first war, it might not stay there for long.

Also watch Turkey. If Kamalists capture power, which is a big possibility now -- every equation changes.

Not to undermine the importance of scholars. But when an islamic scholar is struggling in the field and looking around hard to earn a living, learning tech and science helps both him personally and the muslim community as a whole.

It would be interesting to watch where that ends up.

Previously it called for Indian channels to cut off BD ads. That didn't end well as the channels rather opted to cut off BD transmission instead. And after 20 days of no indian channels, BD gov finally bent : even if we did say it, we didn't mean to say it.

Ever thought why Uber in BD operates from India? And why your support calls are transferred there? Cause its the only way it can operate here. Sending 30% of the revenue to India is comparatively profitable to do business here, compared to other options.

Today figured out base price has indeed fallen to 20k. And most companies are selling with a huge 50% to 60% price drop, maybe because their units aren't selling.

Today, fixed it ourselves. Had to buy motor and power adapter for 2,500. And rewired everything as none of the original wring were present.

• Damage is my cost. Repair man generally check the situation and tells you "if I fix this it will cost you xxx." either you agree, or disagree and he leaves with nothing. And sheba.xyz an online handy service company charges 100-150 if I decline the estimated cost. But even then paying 100 and saying no is bearable rather than a later surprise bill.

  Not saying I called sheba.xyz for the job mentioned in the status.

But it has a few catches :

The main graph is a bit misleading. One might think 70-80% are non-religious until you check the scale and see it runs only upto 40%. i.e. it's zoomed-in to the lower part. Real change : what previously was 8% is now 13%. A 5% increase in 5 years. Which isn't that bad considering my initial guess after reading the title was : 70-80% should have been driven to atheism by now.

Second issue, the term "non-religious" carries different meaning in West vs in Arab. In arab any muslim that doesn't pray 5 times a day but wishes to do so and believes in God, will identify him as non-religious. While in west it means someone is atheist or agnostic.

সমর্থন করলেও তাদের সব কিছু সমর্থন করি না।
বিরোধিতা করলেও তাদের সব কিছুর বিরোধিতা করি না।

যতদিন তারা জিততে থাকবে ততদিন তাদের বিজয়কে সমর্থন করবো, চিয়ার করতে থাকবো।
হেরে গেলে আর সমর্থন করবো না।

যারা কোনো দলকে বায়াত দিয়েছে তাদের মত এত বেশি সমর্থন করি না।
যারা তাদের বিরোধি এবং তাদের ধ্বংশ চায় তাদের মতো এত বিরোধিও না।

আমি নিজে কোনো দলকে বায়াত দেই নি।
তাই কাউকে সমর্থন করে যাওয়া আমার জন্য শর্ত না।

"দলে ঢুকবো কিনা?" কেউ পরামর্শ চাইলে বলি "না, ঢুকো না"।
এর পরও যদি কেউ ঢুকে যায়, তবে তাকে মন্দ বলি না।

কোনো দল পুরোপুরি "হক পন্থি" প্রমানিত হলেও আমি সেই দলকে সমর্থন করবো না যদি তাদের ক্ষমতা না থাকে।
কোনো দলের যতটুকু ক্ষমতা-শক্তি ততটুকু সমর্থন।
যখন ক্ষমতা নেই তখন আমার সমর্থনও নেই।
"ক্ষমতায় নেবার জন্য" কাউকে সমর্থন করি না।

দলের সমর্থনকে আমি আকিদার সমর্থনের সাথে এক করে দেখি না।
