And 200 of those 230 are for the, now grounded, 737 MAX, and all placed by a single airline. Now all these orders are useless if this model fails to fly again, which still seems likely. Exclude these and total number of Boeing orders stand at only 34. Indicating a large drop in confidence regardless of model.
So which airline ordered these many MAXes? Old pal British Airways.
Now overall, what's in it for us? An indication of shift, that's all. You can generalize the shift or compare it with other shifts to create an idea on where the world might be heading.
But don't read too much into it.
