Price of all fruits have fallen this year. Mango sells for Tk. 60/kg. Which some years back was 120. Lichi goes for 140/hundred. Which was in other years 300.
Don't know the reason. Maybe its the slow economy and people don't have much money at hand to spare. Or maybe people are scared to eat fruits because of all these reports of chemical processing.
Or maybe it's over production. As watermelon was over priced this year compared to any year before. And wasn't in market for long. The size that sold for Tk.200 in other years, sold for 400 this year. And jumped to 600 as soon as Ramadan arrived.
