On vaccines not ending lockdowns any time soon :

The vaccine won't stop people catching the virus themselves and then passing it on to others, thus spreading the disease further. It just prevents the vaccinated against growing symptoms.
And therefore the social distance measurements, masks and lockdown won't go away even when a percent of the population is vaccinated.
It will take upto the end of 2021 to see a change in infection in developed countries when a large portion of the population is vaccinated. Implying this lockdown like state will continue the whole of the next year.
And on a lesser tone someone else said, most likely the lockdown will continue for the next decade.
