New discovery in Astro physics today is that scientist figured out from a new observation & measurement that universe is indeed expanding at an accelerated rate. And therefore the time of big bang which was calculated assuming a predictable speed had happened earlier than we thought.
That makes a 10% difference though. Not much. Therefore a 13 billion year old universe might be 11 billion.
The main point is that scientist have stumbled on another big thing that they can't understand or explain, and doesn't match their theoretical calculation.
