Microsoft is the third company to hit $1T valuation mark. Previously Apple and Amazon hit that.

Interestingly Amazon's retail section doesn't make a profit. Which is why it doesn't pay taxes. And the main profit making part of Amazon is AWS. Which it started as "garbage sale" of its excess capacity.

MS, likewise is making profit from its cloud hosting, which is boosting up the price.

In the 80s trillion dollar companies were telecoms. And before that, oil companies in the 40s.

    Comments:
  • Unless, you don't have more important thing to do, then yes.
  • Doesn't matter. whatever you are comfortable with.
  • Depends on the market you are exploring. Local, foreign, moving abroad, outsource, freelance, local company work... everyone's requirement is different.
  • ^ I should have put it in the FAQ.
