Today's main news was Trump ends waivers for Iran's oil export.
Impacts :
- Iran issued warning that if its oil export is blocked, it will close Hormuz channel, through which Saudi, Iraq and large portion of world oil supply is transported. Will it carry on with its threat? My guess : Unlikely.
- Main importers were China and India. Will they disobey US sanctions? My guess : Unlikely.
- Impact on world oil supply. Probably not much. Price increase is still bellow 3%.
I think USA will walk away with what it wants this time too.
If something doesn't go as expected, that will create news. But that's for the future.
