Excellent article on the business status of AI.
Basically it's saying : the library building is done. It's all open source. Everyone uses it, even large companies. And almost no new algo is coming up.
But building an AI system still needs a lot of helping hand. There are non-AI parts that boosts up the performance that needs to be coded. And AI is mostly "supervised" learning. Therefore someone should be there to supervise.
And before you build something on AI, there are two risks : someone else might come up with a similar solution and open source it.
And second, someone else might develop a more automated solution making your one obsolete.
