In last Feb's confrontation between IN and PK, both sides claimed destruction of other side's Fighter Jets. And both sides denied their own loss. It's typical in warfare.

Now if some side DID lose some assets in an engagement that they denied, how do they account for the loss later? Generally they arrange a fake accident within a month of the loss, and show that those were lost in that accident.

An example might be the mission against OBL, most of all the commandoes engaged in that raid were killed in an accident 40 days later, with their chopper downed.

Therefore I was watching how IN and PK report their post engagement losses. And surely within a month IN reported some of their Jets lost, in accidents. The crash photo of which doesn't show any impact onsite, indicating the parts might have been moved. But there might be too much conspiracy theory involved in this analysis.

Now what about PK's side? India claimed they downed one of PK's F-16s.

Today's news : US has counted and accounted for all its F-16s delivered to PK and found those intact.
