Looks like Ethiopian and Indonesian crashes were similar.
Both are 737 MAX. New jets, 6 months in service. Crashed within 10 minutes of takeoff. And were struggling to maintain vertical speed.
The other possibility might have been Al-Shabab attack, or technical incompetence. But Ethiopian airline is one of the best maintained airline which follows every safety procedure.
Meanwhile China has grounded all its 737 MAX planes. So has another US airline.
