One of the reasons behind the division between Maw. Saad and other elders in Nijamuddin was that Maw. Saad stopped the sponsoring system where businessmen sponsored travel and other costs of elders, who in spite of their dedication to this work, didn't have much financial backing to cover all the costs associated with International travel by themselves.
This picture can be seen in speeches of both the sides. I am sharing a status in the comment.
But was it bad? was it good? Who knows? Maybe like so many other things it is good upto a limit, and bad when exceeds some limit. What was the situation in Nijamuddin at that time? Within limit? out of limit? That's upto anyone's imagination.
