Note that the first stage rockets are the only parts that return to earth. The rest gets burnt up or lost in space anyway.
Elon's car's trajectory. Initially it was planned for orbiting with Mars. But the rockets off-shot and now it's supposed to end up in the astroid belt beyond Mars.
