In April 1815, a large volcanic eruption took place somewhere in Indonesia. So large that it was the largest in 10,000 years.

Only that year in world history, the world produced less food than is required by humans. Due to sky blocking out the sun, and snow ice covering the landmass.

Was wondering if there's any historic record of that in India. Figured out India by then was ruled by the british. Shiraj Uddoula's defeat took place some 70 years prior it. There were no Mughols rulers if I might have expected.

One report from Madras, the southern portal city of India freezing over after temperature falling to -3 C.
