- South African variant reinfects as like someone's previous infection didn't occur. Your previous immunity protection won't work.
- Current vaccines don't work on this variant. Moderna and whatnot work at one sixth the efficacy compared to the last year's one.
- And it's more infectious than the previous one. Spreads more rapidly. Like 60-70% more infectious.
The variant has been detected in BD. It's already here.
