"Fox news" - The rise and fall.
First, there was nothing called "Fox News" when I used to watch US cable news in the early 90s. Fox started at around 2000.
Gained popularity with The O'reilly Factor with Bill O'reilly, for being unlogically right wing -- but still addictive for the presentation.
Then Comedy Central another channel started a parody of O'reilly Factor, calling it "The Daily Show" with Jon Stewart. That one gained so much popularity that it became a good source of real news, even though it was self declaring itself and fake news.
Fast forward to 2010s. Fox news by now has gained so much popularity that CNN and other grand old news channels have fallen to the ground.
And then 2020 hit. Fox prematurely declared Arizona to Biden. Trump called its owner Rupert Murdoch to retract it. Fox declined. And later Fox took the opposite stand on Trump's claim of "The election was rigged".
And as its viewers were all conservatives, they disowned their favorite news source. Fox viewership dwindled in a week. And republicans are flocking to NewsMax as alternate. A streaming pay TV.
