As for vaccine, Pfizer first reported 90% efficiency. Then Moderna reported 95% effectiveness. A few days later Pfizer reviewed their numbers and declared it's 96% effective.
So we have at least two companies with 95% effectiveness.
Today's news : Companies have applied for FDA approval in USA. The catch is that the approval will be for emergency use only.
But that's all a very positive signal. Maybe it won't linger for years and years.
The bad : it's still at least six months before we in BD get it. With a big IF that things in the future work as expected.
