Both might look the same but aren't. Chelsea was put in a trusted position and betrayed for only betrayal's sake.
Snowden's struggle came after he couldn't accept what he was exposed to. Too large a thing to keep quiet on.
Personally I am a believer in keeping other's secrets secret. Don't like it? Move back. Leave. Don't betray.
