"The Running Man"
The only Stephen King novel I read. Published in the 80s. King wasn't as much famous then. Plus he published the book as Richard Batchman pen name.
Story talks about a dystopian USA ran by a current BD like gov. And to keep people occupied with something they run a reality TV show where people hunt down a running man, killing him.
Ended with our hero, who was the running man, flying a 11 engine jet plane into the show's production building.
So here's what he predicted correctly
Reality TV show taking over : checked.
Using planes as missiles : checked.
And wrong. He thought number of engines in planes will increase over time in the future and planes will get larger. Didn't! Rather decreased.
Anyway it was later converted into a film. Minus the plane scene. But the book had far darker and better environment as always.
