Apple hits $2T market cap. Time for me to buy a new laptop. The current one, a costly Thinkpad, lasted for 1.5 years. Previous two were Macbook Airs and the first one lasted for 2 years and the second one 4 years.
Mainly the keyboard gets damaged due to overuse. None of the previous 8 to 10 laptops I used before, lasted more than a year. It was then basically a new laptop every year.
Wondering what to do next. Might go for another cheap Thinkpad, but backlit keyboard is important for night, and backlit keyboards aren't cheap.
Can't go for other laptops beside Thinkpads as I need to run Linux Fedora as primary OS and random laptops from other vendors might not have all the drivers.
The Thinkpad I am using now was priced exactly equal to that of a Macbook Air at that time. And right now I am not sure what to do.
Don't want to pay Apple any more of my money.
