This was a gambling magnet and watched young outsiders lose so much here hoping to double their money.
The line here was at first a meter gauge. Then it was rebuilt as dual broad gauge-meter gauge as you can see now.
Walking on rail line isn't new for me. I used to walk along the lines near Kamalapur central station for as long as I studied in school to reach there. But that side was better maintained than this one though.
