Paul Graham says, his single largest stress was running HN discussion forum. And not the start ups or their demo days or advising them or anything else.
And finally advises : Don't start a forum.

Note that HN is the only old-days-styled forum that I still visit. And closing that down would mean everyone of our arms will be up in air screaming how much injustice that was.
But that brings ZERO to Paul Graham, and the irony, he is spending most of his stress there.
Lesson being that : There's no point in being popular on Facebook or getting hundreds of comments or likes.
Unless of course you are also monetizing it. By collecting money from the followers for charity or selling things or affiliated marketing or anything.
Which I don't. And which is why I prevent statuses turning into public discussion forums. It's a lot of stress for nothing. In spite of how everyone willing to participate in the forum feel.
It's not only me.
