That Sahara's desert sand fly 5000 km with wind over the Atlantic, and lands on Amazon forest to act as fertilizer is old news.
New news is that the sand storm this year has gotten historically large and heavy, and instead of going to South America, it's heading towards, guess where ... USA.
Right now it's passing the Caribbeans. Darkening the skies.
