Today's big news is that Apple is switching all it's products to ARM processors from current Intel. They call it "Apple Silicon." That's a second switch. Previously they switched from IBM's 6800 to Intel processors sometime around 2000.
That might be good *if* the systems don't get sluggish too much. Intel is a power hog and also the high price due to its monopoly in processors.
