#covid
India went for lockdown... lockdown... lockdown... like 3 months of sudden lockdown of a whole country of 1 billion, on a 3 hour notice.
What it did is, delay the inevitable. It surely can't keep itself locked down forever, right? Had to open at some point even if in the distant future. That future came for them after 3 months and now covid is spreading like wildfire after they opened.
15,000 infected in India in one day. That's 3rd highest after USA and Brazil.
So what was the point? They could have faced it then. But by damaging their economy, they managed to delay the spread for 3 months only.
No prevention we are talking here, just delay.
