Sometimes I think, with all those flowing cash why didn't the middle eastern countries build missile, weapons and fighter factories themselves? Instead of purchasing everything from America at exorbitant price? At 10 times the cost US gov pays to buy the same weapon?
Only to realize that Arab leaders possibly were scared about having a strong military. Fearing coups and losing power. Turning Arab states into Egypt, which has a strong military but it's always military leaders in power and the constant coups.
So now we have this. Arab states fighting, always by hiring mercenaries. This started 30 years back, since the first gulf war in the 90s and still going alike.
