Now is the worst time to be a pilot. HUGE cuts on all airlines, like half the pilots and staffs. Even worse, these pilots will be hard pressed finding a new job.
But software still doing great. Even if civilization erupts in war in this new decade, the future of warfare are in weapons like : drones that can automatically dog fight with fighters. Or drone swarms that can overwhelm the enemy. Bombing and firing on them all together -- which Trump bragged of as a secret mass destruction weapon a few days back.
If a device has 4 sensors and 20 software for it. Add one more sensor and you now need 200 software to utilize its full power. That's from my experience.
