PIA plane crash : Survival.
Two men survived the crash out of 107. Fuel started to leak inside the cabin before the crash and it ignited. Just like in crash scenes in movies. Column of flame swapping from front to back. Only 15 bodies were recovered intact. Rest of all were charred to ashes making those unrecognizable body parts only.
One of the survivor's seat broke off and was thrown off far from the burning plane. He survived. He was a bank officer at a top bank, newly appointed. He broke one arm, but other than that, is good.
The other one was an engineer. He said he was watching the fire column shooting down the seats. Took his seat belt off. And could watch the bright emergency exist arrow lights blinking on the floor. Followed those to the exit door and jumped out. Fortunately the door was shot open by then. He had burnt skins on leg and other places. But stable nevertheless.
And I thought all those emergency lights signs and procedures of the plane were over done. Surely it's not, if one can follow it.
Lesson : always watch the floor. There's emergency arrow light on it, which generally are turned off, but will light on as soon as the plane crashes. One can see those even in smoke.
And exit asap. Jump.
