Coronavirus : the bad news.
This is supplementary to my previous post.
Watched the 10 in 100 of the population that will need hospitalization? 5 of them will die if they can't be provided proper care and oxygen.
In the west, this limit is reached at soon as hospitals get overwhelmed. Like in Italy, Iran.
In BD, that saturation will be reached just as it starts. We don't have enough ventilators for regular patients right now, forget the crisis. Add with it the panic that we read of yesterday over coronavirus fear in DMC hospital that lead to a Canada returned girl's death.
Therefore my worst case scenario is 7% of the population dying because of healthcare breakdown. We might not reach that. But that's the worst case nevertheless.
