How panic is killing in China :
People are scanned on the road and if anyone has high temperature he is being forcefully quarantined immediately. Leading to scenarios like these :
- Someone had a son at home. As he was suddenly quarantined his son starved to death at home.
- As hospitals are out of bed, infected people are sent home and their doors are being nailed locked, or welded using iron bars. News of elderly dying starving in house alone, specially those that survive on social care.
- Communities are locking themselves up, putting up walls on the road. When someone returned to his village after new year tour, his neighbors killed him hitting his head for breaking their isolation.
- Hospitals are overwhelmed. An elder patient died as she can't open the cover of food being served. Nurses were too busy with 1000s of patients.
- Two men lying on the street, shot to death. They tried to cross the isolation border because that was important for them. Rather died being shot.
Empathy. Live too long under a Nazi like strict rule and you will lose it eventually. Only thing then that matters is your own survival, as otherwise you are dead.
