As for KSA's ongoing changes :

Gender segregation at Saudi restaurants have not only been abolished, but also *outlawed*. Now you can't have a separate section for male and female. Bound to join the two.

And as of Saudi's competition with Dubai to be the tourist hub, it's now allowing tourists from any religion to visit the city of Medina. Which was forbidden till now.

^^^ Now I am torn about this last change. That non-muslims can't visit Medina possibly is a Hanbali thing which started since this Saudi regime came to power and wasn't there before, and isn't in Hanafi fiqh -- me thinks. Though I don't know for sure.
