After its own OS, Huawei today has come up with its own maps app too. And unlike what I assumed previously, Huawei's OS wasn't a fork of Android. It's built form scratch and they had been working on it for many years. This sanction pushed them to polish it and release.
Personally speaking, I would rather let the Chinese government spy on me, instead of the USA gov. :V
