quote ___
As what is narrated about another great Tabi`i, Muhammad ibn Sirin, displays:
(ودخل رجلان على محمد بن سيرين من أهل الأهواء ، فقالا : يا أبا بكر نحدثك ، قال : لا ، قالا : فنقرأ عليك آية من كتاب الله عز وجل ، قال : لا ، لتقومن عني أو لأقومنَّ ، فقام الرجلان فخرجا)
"Two men of the Ahl al-Ahwa' (literally "those who follow their whims", a term used for people of heretical ideas) approached Muhammad ibn Sirin and said to him, 'O Abu Bakr (the kunya of Ibn Sirin), we would like to discuss with you.' He replied, 'Nope.' They then insisted, 'Then let us recite to you verses from the Book of God.' He responded, 'No. Either you leave me alone, or I'll leave.' So the two men got up and left."
You're under no obligation to constantly argue with people who want to spread nonsense. Not only are you under no such obligation, you foolishly pollute your heart by engaging in it.
Just say no.
____ end.
This one tells a lot on how we should behave when one approaches with "I am asking because I want to know" type of argument.
It's never he wants to know anything. It's always "he wants to teach everyone things that his bros taught him as correct."
I don't have a problem with bros teaching. But have problem with those fake "want to know, honestly" type of approach. Cause that's a start with a lie.
