A Boeing 787 took off. One of it's engine burst into fragments, dropping all the debris over the city bellow hitting 25 car and 12 home.
It finally landed safely. Note that most planes can fly with one engine, and can land without downing the wheels if necessary. Those are designed as such.
But bad news for Boeing at an odd time when everyone was watching it for trouble.
