This is the new phone I purchased, love it.

The main features, as before, are an IR, Compass and Gyro. The rest are either common features, or things that I can do without.
IR for using it as remote for devices for which I have lost the remote or remote is non-functional.
Gyro and Compass for augmented reality. Target the phone towards a star or plane and with the correct app, it can tell which star it is or which plane it's overhead. Plus taking Panaromic pictures and other uses.
Other nice to have features were
5GHz Wifi : because the 2.4 GHz is so crowded now a days. It doesn't have it.
Quick charge : does have.
Non-removable battery : who replaces battery now a days?
High FPS video : for slow mo recording, it doesn't have.
AMOLED screen : for always-on screen, it's not.
FM radio without a headphone : it doesn't have.

- Well, all the rest that I checked which have IR and Gyro cost more. Budget was to buy the least priced one, that avails these.
