"How did people google, before the Internet?"

There were 20 to 50 volumes of very fat books on everything called Encyclopedia. Britannica being the most popular one. Topics were written alphabetically. They picked the right volume, say volume "V" for V-2 rockets, turned the page and read it.

These were commonly found in all libraries. But rich people also had their personal collection on their shelf. And selling Encyclopedia form door to door was a profitable business for salesmen in the west.

In BD it was available in Islamic foundation library, British council library among other places. This is what we used to read to learn about miscellaneous subjects.

Our present day Wikipedia is a mirror of it on the net.
