An Iranian professor's reply to what would happen if Iran is struck? quoted at the end of this post.

My take from this text are two facts: That Iran might aggressively reply to even a limited strike, which I still doubt they will, but nothing is certain.

And the second one : UAE will be overran by its "indentured servants" -- which has a high possibility that I didn't realize.

The truth is, the worst hurt area will be UAE, and they know it. Which is why they are extremely reluctant in engaging in a war, and oppose their pal the Saudis on this point.

Look carefully and you will find a rift growing between KSA and UAE rulers.

- UAE has withdrawn itself form Yemen, leaving Saudi alone there to fight.

  • Whole point of JPost exposing MbZ of UAE as Israel's ally was because he was moving away from them.
  • And UAE isn't accusing Iran for the ship attacks, while others are.

The last question : how likely is an Iran strike? I would say very likely within the next few years, otherwise you will read of Iran performing it's first underground nuclear test. Preventing which was the whole point of this agreement - breaking of agreement - and now sanctions. None of these will prevent it from building the bomb. A strike would. And Israel knows it.

Part of the text pasted bellow.

    quote _____________

In order to prevent any appetite for all-out war, Iran will respond to a limited military strike with a massive and disproportionate counterstrike targeting both the aggressor and its enablers. Regional regimes such as the UAE and Saudi Arabia that facilitate aggression in any way or form should expect the swift destruction of their oil assets and critical infrastructure. On the other hand, all-out war would mean the obliteration of all oil and gas installations as well as ships on both sides of the Strait of Hormuz. Under such circumstances, the closure of the Strait would be the least of Bolton's problems.

The Emirati and Saudi regimes would most probably swiftly collapse. Millions of indentured servants would overrun Abu Dhabi and Dubai while Yemeni forces and their regional allies would overwhelm Saudi Arabia as western occupation forces would be expelled from the region. Millions of people would stream towards Europe, even as the EU and the rest of the world would be facing an economic catastrophe.
