Iran announced its refined U-235 stockpile crossed whatever limit was in the old contact.

The other news, US deployed a squadron of F-22s in Qatar. Where 1 squadron = 12 to 24 planes.

Why F-22 and not F-35? Because none of the new generation fighters have been produced in number yet. There are only 400 units of F-35 and 200 F-22 in service right now. Maybe because F-35 pilots haven't been trained yet.

For the future, the more likely scenario is that USA will make a pre-dawn sudden attack on Iran's nuclear facilities bringing every one of those down overnight, and after the strike, try to calm the situation down through diplomatic means. Like UN warning Iran not to retaliate or something similar.

This whole saga started because Israel wasn't comfortable with Iran's power and wanted Trump to do something. And he danced to their tune, until he realized it wasn't safe, and suddenly calmed down.

But the strike is now more of a question of "when" instead of "if".

  • We had high estimation on Iraq too before the 2nd Gulf war. But they crumbled down to nothing the instant attack begun. Therefore everything is uncertain. And the "stealth" fighters are here possibly for a reason.
