Russian diplomats are dying suddenly all over the world. 6 have died in the last few months. Two from gun shots, and four from heart attacks, looking strikingly similar.
8 November 2016, US Election Day. Morning. New York.
Russian diplomat Sergei Krivov, 63, was found lying unconscious on the floor of the Russian Consulate in New York with a head injury. Initial reports said Mr Krivov fell from the roof and had blunt force injuries, but Russian officials quickly changed their story and said he died from a heart attack.
Three months later medical examiners are still unsure how he died.
19 December 2016, Turkey
Russia's Ambassador Andrei Karlov, 62, was assassinated at a photography exhibition in Ankara.
Same day. Moscow, Russia.
Petr Polshikov, 56, was found dead from gunshot wounds in his Moscow apartment.
26 December 2016, Moscow, Boxing Day.
Ex-KGB chief Oleg Erovinkin, 61, who helped compile a dossier on Mr Trump, was found dead in the back of his black Lexus car in Moscow
Media reported he had almost certainly been murder, but was later claimed he had died of a heart attack.
9 January 2017, Athens, Greece
The Russian Consul, Andrei Malanin, 55, was found dead on the bathroom floor in his apartment by another member of embassy staff.
Further investigations are ongoing.
27 January 2017, India
Russia's Ambassador Alexander Kadakin, 67, died after a “brief illness" media says. Reuters reports Mr Kadakin died from heart failure, but few further details are known.
20 February 2017, New York
Russia's Ambassador Vitaly Churkin died suddenly of suspected heart failure. A medical examiner suggested the need to carry out toxicology tests.
