The small earthquakes which occurred within the last two years have created visible cracks on the wall of almost all buildings here.
Pretty sure none of these buildings will survive a mag 9 one. New or old. Hi-rise or Low-rise.
Buildings here aren't designed to stand any size of earthquake. It's not in the culture, nor in the regulations.
