Appeared for GRE today. Got V 490 + Q 770 = 1160. There is not much space left for any improvement in math. Though a lot can be done for english. Question is: should I care? Is there a benefit in memorizing 3500 words besides getting a better score in GRE?

Submitted my GRE score to a university today. They said "Good, but now you have to take the Computer Science GRE Subject Test too." Well, that's will be another 16k for registration plus a visit to Thailand for taking the test.

Q. Suppose that P(x,y) means "x is a parent of y" and M(x) means "x is male". If F(v,w) equals

M(v)^ЭxЭy(P(x,y)^P(x,v)^(y≠v)^P(y,w))

what is the meaning of the expression F(v,w)
(A) v is a brother of w
(B) v is a nephew of w
(C) v is an uncle of w
(D) v is a grandfather of w
(E) v is a male cousin of w

Now I think English was easier than that!

"যে আমার ছেলেরে গুম করছে আল্লাহ, তুমি তার ছেলেকে গুম করে দাও। তাহলেই সে ছেলে হারানোর কষ্ট বুঝতে পারবে" --- দোয়ার (নাকি বদদোয়া?) পরদিনই আমিনির ছেলেকে ফিরত পাঠিয়ে দিল সরকার। এর পর কে বলবে এ সরকার আল্লাহ তায়ালায় বিশ্বাস করে না!
